True Villains are a rock & roll powerhouse. If you’re looking for the next big thing look no further.
Raised across America and headquartered in Nashville, bandmates Tim Venerosa (guitar), Barry Conaway (bass), Matt Carter (drums), Greg Herndon (keys), and Lastavich have paid their dues as a working-class live act, playing four-hour hometown shows multiple times a week. In a town filled with solo artists and country stars, they’ve become something refreshingly different: a genuine band, rooted in the dark, driving sounds of rock & roll.
While grinding at one of their hometown shows the band first caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, a modern-rock icon who’d previously worked with Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver. Impressed by the group Raskulinecz extended a rare invitation to the group, offering his services as producer and mentor. A partnership bloomed. Before long, True Villains were working with Raskulinecz in his Music Row studio, recording singles like “The Villain” with a producer whose enthusiasm for electrified, energized rock matched their own.
This band knocks you away not only with their sound, but their stand presence is unreal. It reminds me of seeing early clips of the Doors. They are so powerful; the hooks just keep you captivated while the chorus’ are super catchy.
Stay tuned for new music from these fellows, You won’t want to miss it.
